2020-03-13: Ohio State cancels Spring Practice and Spring Game.
2020-05-13: BigTen suspends all team related activities.
2020-05-20; Gene Smith ananounces maximum Ohio Stadium capacity of 20,000 or less for 2020 season.
2020-08-04: BigTen announces 10 game, conference only schedule.
2020-08-05: University of Connecticut cancels football and all fall sports, first FBS school to do so.
2020-08-08: BigTen announces teams can start pre-season practice, but not with pads.
2020-08-08: MAC cancels football, and all fall sports, for 2020.
2020-08-10: Detroit Free Press reports BigTen Football, and other fall sports, canceled.
2020-08-10: BigTen and PAC-12 will formally announce 2020 football, and fall sports, plans on 2020-08-11.
2020-08-10: Mountain West Conference cancels football, and all fall sports, for 2020.
2020-08-10: Old Dominion cancels football, and all fall sports, for 2020.
2020-08-11: University of Massachusetts cancels football, and all fall sports, for 2020.
2020-08-11: BigTen officially cancels football, and all fall sports, for 2020.
2020-08-11: PAC-12 officially cancels football, and all fall sports, for 2020.
2020-09-14: BigTen decides to start up an 8 game regular football season beginning on 23 & 24 October. No Bye weeks.
2020-09-14: Game 9 will have a champtionship game and 6 consiolation games, for a 9 game seaon.
2020-09-14: At least for now, the match ups for game 9 will not be repeat match ups played during the season, excepting the championship game.
2020-09-14: Games will be played in empty venues; locations to be decided. only player and coach's immediate families can attend.
2020-09-19: BigTen announces 2020 football schedules.
2020-09-21: OSU returned to the polls 6th AP, 6th USA. 2 first place votes in both polls.
2020-09-24: Pac-12 will play football this fall. 7 games starting on November 7. Championship and consolation games December 19, 2020.
2029-10-14: Mountain West Conference announced their schedule. A 9 game schedule starting on October 24.
2020-11-11: Ohio State - Maryland canceled because of COVID-19 infections on the University of Maryland team. THe game will not be rescheduled.
2020-11-28: Ohio State - Illinois canceled because of COVID-19 infections on the Ohio State University team. The game will not be rescheduled.
2020-12-08: Ohio State - Michigan canceled because of COVID-19 infections on the University of Michigan t6eam. The game will not be rescheduled.
2020-12-09: Ohio State will play Northwestern in the BigTen Championship, after mininum 6 game rule was waived.
